My wonderful and talented Alexandra Bondi de Antoni beautifully captured some moments behind the scenes at The Angewandte Show on thursday. Some of Bernhard Willhelm’s protégées created some interesting collections in a more of an experimental way – Especially Anna Sophie Berger and her formal approach of questioning certain tendencies of the fashion industry and our social life, Roshi Porka and her beautiful choice of materials as well as Markus Binder & Emil Beindl’s comfortable cuts.
Artist and photographer Richard Mosse reveals the stories behind the making of his latest film, ‘The Enclave’ (2013), in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which will be shown in the Irish Pavilion at this year’s 55th Venice Biennale.

Elena Damiani’s body of work encourages the viewer to perceive some sort of historical value in cultural artefacts. Her practice is comparable to that of a collector of found material that owns an inbuilt narrative. By deconstructing its initial familiarity and meaning and critically recomposing the material into collages she points out the manipulability of existing cultural items and information as well as addresses the fractured linearity of the ever-changing territory that is the past through the eyes of the present.
love it!

‘This is the night’ is the name of a wonderful black and whit series shot on film by Emile Hyperion Dubuisson

Maciek Pozoga captured some very powerful and poetical situations always juggling between documentary, art and fiction. Shooting reportage and portraits for numerous magazines his style speaks a language of authenticity.
